Prior to launching Twig, Laura Boss gained broad-based experience in design and also hospitality, where she worked both in operations and at the corporate level. She combined the two interests and began to develop design concepts to extend hospitality brand identity into physical properties. Working for Project International Architects, she created story boards to ensure design alignment in capital expenditures for a newly united group of eclectic hotels recently joined together in order to create a new hotel brand identity.
As Director of Spa – US for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group she extended the brand’s identity into spas in the United States by creating spa design guidelines that spoke to the key values of the Group. This identity was later used in the Group’s spa developments world-wide. This began Laura’s love affair with spas and she joined ESPA International as Director of Design and Projects where she oversaw the development of an enviable portfolio of spa projects for over 10 years.
Laura is exceptionally well traveled, having lived in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico and Spain. Secretly, she is writing mystery novels following an addiction she picked up to pass the time on long-haul flights while running her projects world-wide.
